A day at Blue Mountains

One of the highlights of my trip to Aus was definitely the day trip to Blue Mountains with my wonderful hosts, Saroeuth and Jarko.

It’s a 2-hour drive from Sydney but you can also use the buses and trains to get there.

We first headed to Katoomba, the most popular tourist spot in the Blue Mountains, to check out the Three Sisters at Echo Point. We walked along the pathways for a bit before heading off to Leura.

At Leura Cascades, we walked to several of the waterfalls along the pathways.

In town, we stopped for lunch at The Hatters Café. Saroeuth and I ordered battered fish and chips while Jarko went for a healthier option of salmon risotto.

After lunch we purchased the Scenic World package that included:

A ride on the Scenic Skyway with its glass bottom floor across Jamison Valley
A trip on the Scenic Railway, the steepest railway incline in the world
A ride on the Scenic Cableway that goes into the rainforest of the Jamison valley.
