Fyodor Golan’s skirt made of Nokia phones

Have you seen the latest collaborative effort between Nokia and Fyodor Golan?

Skirt made of Nokia phones

London Fashion Week highlighted some amazing collaborative work but this Nokia FG was definitely the most interesting one. Technology has definitely changed the dynamics of the fashion world and it seems to be changing the aesthetic of the designs too.

This skirt made of 80 Nokia Lumia phones changes colours as the skirt moves based on the model’s surroundings with the help of a bespoke app that changes the screens and a camera in the model’s cap. The changing images and colours on each phone creates a synchronised shimmering effect to mimic the behavior of a futuristic fabric.

As the model turns, the skirt appears to sparkle and flows to move in time with the direction of the movement while the wireless connection to camera in the model’s cap reflects what the model is seeing.
