Part of the Moet Hennessey Louis Vuitton group, Thomas Pink is a British label with more that 100 stores in London, New York and South Africa. As well as shirts for men and women Pink carries a wealth of luxurious silk ties, tailoring, knitwear and accessories.

Here’s a Q&A with Head of Design at Thomas Pink, Frederik Willems.

Q: What would you identify as the latest trends in formal wear for men and women?

FW: For men, it is all about dressing smart casual, layering tailoring and knitwear on top of our shirts. For women it is soft, elegant and feminine that set the tone.

Q: When designing a collection for a global market, what does Thomas Pink choose: customisation or standardisation?

FW: I would say a bit of both. Being a global brand we need to consider climate and taste levels but without losing the focus on what Thomas Pink aesthetically…
