Yesterday was the first day of London Collections: Men. The Autumn Winter 2014 shows revealed some daring designers whose creativity extended to removing the unspoken gender limitations.
Let’s say it’s been a very busy but great way to start the year. Here’s what my schedule looked like:
8:30am – LC:M Opening Breakfast
10:00am – Lou Dalton
11:00am – Astrid Anderson
1:00pm – Matthew Miller
3:00pm – MAN
4:00pm – Xander Zhou
7:30pm – Thomas Pink Showcase
Lou Dalton’s collection showcased town and country style with corduroy and flannel shirts making a comeback.
Astrid Anderson returned with a collection focused on strength and sensitivity.
Matthew Miller’s collection was by far the most realistic collection with basic essential wardrobe pieces in staple colours.
Xander Zhou created a collection for royalty in a variety of bold colours.
Thomas Pink’s first ever presentation at LC:M was fun and slick just like the brand. The collection is colourful and preppy and perfect for the masses.
